On Thursday,
June 6th at 6pm,
the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts
invites visitors to, Working Men's
Clothes in New Jersey and the Atlantic World, 1750-1825, presented by
presented by Tyler Putman of the University of Delaware. This talk
will examine the clothing of sailors and laborers in New Jersey and abroad
using written records, visual depictions, and surviving garments. By focusing
primarily on urban and maritime workers, it will show how poor men used their
limited resources to buy useful garments as well as participate in a fashion network
unique to their social level. Advance
