Find out with artist Kai Cole of ButtonTHIS as she presents a fascinating, interactive lecture about the evolution of buttons.  Learn about the button’s history, purpose and design, while discovering some little known facts along the way.  Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a button project at the end of the program.   

Appropriate for all ages 10  and up.  Space is limited.  Advance

As a thank you to those in the Armed Forces and their families, METC will once again participate in the Blue Star Museum program.  This is a free admission program available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention Common Access Card (CAC), A DD Form 1173 ID Card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID Card, which includes active duty military and their immediate family members, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserve.

Crafters Corner, Workshops for Adults


On Sunday, May 20th at 2 pm the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts will host an adult craft workshop series call Crafters Corner. 

Join artist and Educator, Rachel Prager as she teaches attendees how to be creative with t-shirts.  Participants will learn how to make their own fashionable t-shirt scarf and flowers.

Each session of Crafters Corner will feature a different craft project.  Participants will create unique, one-of-a-kind crafts that they can take home. 

Open to ages 16 and up.  Space is limited.  Pre-registration required.   

Admission is $15 for Non-members & $10 for Members (includes all supplies & Museum admission).
